The Association of Resident Doctors, UDUTH Sokoto, successfully conducted a Medical and Surgical Outreach at the Primary Health Care Centre (PHC), Achida, in Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State in 2025.
The outreach delivered much-needed healthcare services to residents of Achida and neighboring communities. Services provided included general medical consultations, treatment of common medical conditions, health education, minor surgical procedures, and referrals for patients requiring advanced care.
This initiative was aimed at improving access to quality healthcare in rural and underserved communities while supporting primary healthcare services at the grassroots level. It also offered resident doctors a valuable opportunity to engage directly with community health needs beyond the tertiary hospital setting.
ARD UDUTH remains committed to supporting community health interventions that promote equity, early treatment, and improved health outcomes across Sokoto State.
